Chess Program Fritz 13, and Super Chess Engines Houdini 2.0 and Deep Rybka 4.1

These Chess Program and Engines are reputedly the strongest as of today at least based on the reviews and promotions of its creators.

But would you believe that all 3 of them could not beat my old reliable Houdini 1,5 and my second string engine such as Critter and Fire.

How could these happen, the secret is I constantly set a tournament among these engines or an engine match while I was working for other matters these probably benefited them, as they became stronger in every tournament and match that they play, thus when I get hold of these most expensive Chess Program in the world and the strongest engine’s they simply prove that they are at par if not better than them.

But I honestly believe that in due time these super program and engines would catch up with these “veterans” and unleashed their real strength because of their improved programming.

Why I am writing these? Obviously not to discredit the new release engines and programs, but to inform my fellow Players and Coaches that they could innovate and have a strong engine without bleeding their wallet or Credit card, remember these “veteran” engines can be downloaded for free and if they can be at far with the superstars then you have a better alternative.

So try it! So Far the best among the veterans which you can download for free are Houdini 1.5, Stockfish 1.2.2, Critter, Fire, and yes even Rybka 2.2.

Watching them play is very refreshing, just like watching a category 21 Chess tournament every move is flawless and yet some games ended decisively! Even in preparations these veterans are still reliable as long as you constantly use them (Engine Tournament and Matches).
